Who's behind Small Estate Plan

Small Estate Plan is built and run independently by a small software team. It does one thing: read each state's small estate statute and court instructions, turn them into a set of questions, and show you the answer with the source next to it.

Why this exists

The small estate affidavit is the most useful document most people never hear of until the week they need it. The statute is public, the form is free, and the procedure differs from state to state and county to county in ways nobody explains in one place: whether it goes to a court, how long you wait, what the bank will ask for. We put the rules in one place and cite every one of them.

What we are not

Not a law firm; not a government office; not affiliated with any court. We don't give legal advice and the tool never tells you which probate track to take. When the affidavit doesn't fit, we say so and can connect you with a licensed attorney who pays us a flat referral fee.
